Te Pahu Play Group

Playgroup is held every Friday morning from 9.30am – 12pm. All children from newborns to 6 years are welcome.

Parents/Caregivers stay during the Friday session, and we have a yummy baking roster for shared morning tea for the grownups.

Please bring morning tea and a drink bottle for your children.   (Due to allergies, no kiwifruit or nuts please).

Playgroup is a wonderful way to meet other families in the area.

We also have field trips once a term where we go somewhere fun.  We've been to such diverse places as the:
Taitua Arboretum, strawberry picking, Otorohanga Kiwi House and more.

Garden update:
The Gardening Team meets the first Saturday of the month at preschool for a couple of hours (9-11am) for the kids to play
and the grown ups to do some gardening.  All welcome! Look forward to seeing you on Saturday the 4th September 2010.

Thanks to Greg and Rachel Dickson, Tony and Nicola Streifler and Amanda Wright for all your hard work
on Saturday 29th May in the rain!  We made a good start on the garden: removing unproductive plants; moving
a mandarian tree; recreating the rockery; weeding and mulching; and planting a feijoa tree.

We hope to build up more topsoil and plant beneficial flowers, herbs, fruit and veges for the children
and more fruit producing plants, such as passionfruit, tamarillo, plum and apples. 

Any donations of seeds or plants would be welcome.

Fundraising:

On Friday 6th August, Waipa Mayor, Alan Livingstone was guest of honour at play group to draw a raffle organised
by a group of playgroup parents as a fundraiser for Starship.  We raised $571- so thank you to all the people who supported us and bought tickets.
